Kathleen is originally from rural Saskatchewan. After high school, she moved to Winnipeg and received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba. Kathleen graduated with Distinction from the College of Law in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1996. After articling with Thompson Dorfman Sweatman in Winnipeg, Kathleen returned to Saskatchewan in 1998 and has been in Regina ever since. In private practice, Kathleen has been a partner with the former Balfour Moss law firm and at Hunter Peterson Deagle. Kathleen joined Gerrand Rath Johnson in 2016 and has recently returned to the firm after some time away.
Kathleen practices primarily in the family law area and is trained in collaborative law and mediation. She has appeared at all levels of court in Saskatchewan. Kathleen is a member of the Canadian Bar association and the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association. She has been a learning group facilitator and an evaluator at the Saskatchewan Bar Course. Kathleen has been a presenter at several Continuing Professional Education seminars over the years and is a volunteer with the Pro Bono Law Saskatchewan free legal clinic.
