Crystal was born and raised in Regina. After obtaining her Bachelor of Human Justice at the University of Regina in 1998, Crystal moved to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta law school which is where she attained her Bachelor of Laws degree in 2002.
Crystal was called to the Bar in Alberta in 2003 and practiced law in Edmonton before moving back to Regina in 2007 to take a position as counsel for the Canadian Union of Public Employees. Crystal joined Gerrand Rath Johnson in 2012.
Civil Litigation and Labour Law
In addition to civil litigation, Crystal practices primarily in all aspects of labour law. She regularly appears before the Labour Relations Board, Arbitration Boards and other tribunals and has an interest in educating her clients in emerging trends in labour law
She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers and the Regina Bar Association.
Crystal is actively involved with the Sea Cadet organization and holds the rank of Lieutenant (Navy) in the Canadian Forces. She is also involved in her community and has been an active participant in the CIBC Run for the Cure.
Crystal and her husband, Kent, have two sons.
